The following things are required to run this script:

  • PHP 5.2.0+

1. Upload the ZIP via the wordpress backend

  • Log into your website backend /wp-admin/
  • Go to Plugins -> Add New -> Install Redux Framework Plugin
  • Go to Plugins -> Install -> Upload Plugin
  • Select the ZIP file and upload it
  • Active it and that’s it!

2. Upload it via FTP

  • Log into your webserver via FTP
  • Unzip the file on your PC
  • Upload the extracted folder to /wp-content/plugins/
  • Go into your backend and activate the Plugin
  • Go to Plugins -> Add New -> Install Redux Framework Plugin
  • Done

Where can I find the Advanced Categories settings?

You can find the everything inside your Admin Panel inside WooCommerce -> Advanced Categories

General Settings

In the General settings are you have the following options:

  • Enable:
    Enable Advanced Categories to use the options below

Category Layout

  • Enable: Modify the Category page
  • Show Category Description
  • Show Category Short Description
  • Show Category Footer Text
  • Background color
  • Default Category Background image: Set a default category image. This will be overwritten if a custom category image is set.
  • Category Title Tag: Define your category title tag
  • Category Padding: Choose the spacing or padding you want.
  • Category Title Font
  • Category Short Description Font

Subcategories Layout

  • Enable: Modify the Subcategories.
  • Show Subcategory Short Description
  • Subcategory Columns
  • How many categories in one row?
  • Subcategory Style: Choose your subcategory style (Demos available).
  • Subcategory Title Tag: Define your subcategory title tag.
  • Background color
  • Subcategory Title Font
  • Subcategory Short Description Font


  • Enable: Enable Sidebar.
  • Sidebar Title: Define your sidebar title
    • Category Title
    • Custom Title (You can use %s to dynamically show the category title.)

Shop Page

As by default the WooCommerce Shop page is just a page that can not really be configured. That is why we have this extra Section

  • Shop Description
  • Shop Footer

Advanced Settings

Custom stylesheet / javascript.

  • Custom CSS:
    Add some stylesheet if you want.
  • Custom JS:
    Add some javascript if you want.

Single Category Options

When you edit a product category, you now have, beneath the normal options, the following:

  • Columns: How many subcategory columns you want
  • Header Background Image
  • Short Description
  • Sidebar Text
  • Footer Text
